Shannon from San Marcos writes: “Is there any way to save partially cooked rice?? I made a huge pot of rice and some of it is still crunchy inside. I don’t want to throw it all away but it isn’t edible the way it is.”
I would bring a large pot of water to a boil, then add the undercooked rice to it and cook until tender. Once done, strain the rice through a colander to get rid of the excess water. This rice won’t be as good as it would have been if thoroughly cooked to begin with, but it’s suitable for a rice salad, fried rice, or some other dish that adds additional flavors and textures to the rice.
