TO stop your popovers from sticking to the pan because the pan may not have been properly prepared. First you must grease the pan all around as well as the outer edge of the top of the pan. You may use solid shortening or a nonstick vegetable oil spray. Fill the pans about 2/3 full with the batter and bake at 450 degrees for 20 minutes, then reduce your oven to 350 degrees for an additional 10 minutes. Resist the urge to open the door at any time during this process. Remove from the oven, pierce tops with a knife, and allow them to cool in the pan for 5 minutes.
