What’s always in my fridge
At least 5 kinds of barbecue sauce, fresh garlic, at least 4 kinds of cheese, baby greens, kalamata olives, buttermilk, Sriracha chili sauce, tahini, lemons and KitKat candybars.

My favorite kitchen gadget
My George Foreman Junior Rotisserie - it makes great rotisserie chicken that is much healthier than what you can buy in most grocery stores.

My dream food vacation
A week in June on Edisto Island, South Carolina cooking from the fish markets and numerous roadside markets?and relaxing on the beach in between meals. I?ve had the pleasure of doing this once and hope to repeat the experience.

My best food tip
Learn to use a chef's knife properly and work on knife skills. Good knife cuts and properly minced herbs make your food look more polished and more appetizing.

More About Chef Sara: I grew up in two culinary homes: western Maryland in the winter and coastal North Carolina in the summer. Then, to spice things up a little, I married a man from Texas. We enjoy roaming southern back roads looking for farmer?s markets, fish markets, small grocery stores, and local restaurants. All of this serves me well as a food-lover and more recently provided a solid foundation and inspiration for my cookbook, Southern Thighways: Thigh recipes with a Southern accent and to launch my newest venture, Culinary Innovations.
