My favorite kitchen gadget
I can do just about anything with a long-bladed silicone spatula. They're practically indestructible. When I find them, I buy every one on the rack. I've probably got a dozen on hand, because I never want to be without a clean one!
My dream food vacation
I'd go on a culinary tour of Spain, from the tapas bars of the smallest villages, to the elegant restaurants of Madrid & Barcelona, culminating with dining at El Bulli.
My best food tip
Forget all those goofy onion cutting tricks - wear contact lenses in the kitchen and you won't shed a tear. If you don't wear contacts, stick your face in the freezer, open your eyes wide and breathe deeply!
