A delightfully refreshing and very easy way to juice fresh fruit.
1 pound fruit, pulverized
1 cup water, cold
Simply mash up your fruit of choice and strain the juice into a pitcher or bowl. A blender or food processor is handy but not necessary. Use a rubber spatula or wooden spoon to stir the fruit around in a colander or mesh strainer. Discard the fruit pulp, which is mostly just fiber at this point. Add the water. Pour over ice. Enjoy on its own or with any meal.
Prep time: 5 minutes
You can add a few tablespoons of lemon or lime juice to help certain agua frescas, like apple for instance, to last longer and not turn brown due to oxidation.
