Dates Wrapped in Bacon with Balsamic Honey Dip
Chef: LeeAnn Leichtfuss
Food Mood: Quick and Easy
Cuisine: New American/Regional

Servings:

Ingredients
1 lb. bacon
1 lb dried dates
1 C balsamic vinegar
1/4 C honey
1 t chopped fresh rosemary

Method
Bring the balsamic vinegar to a boil and reduce to half, about 5 minutes until a syrup consistency. Watch it because the sugar content is high and can burn fast. Add the honey and fresh rosemary.

Heat the oven to 450 degrees

Cut each piece of bacon in half. Wrap the dates around the bacon. Place them on a backing sheet close together seam side down so they do not unwrap.

Bake for 10 minutes until the bacon is crispy.

Put the sauce in a bowl in the center of a tray.
Put the dates around and garnish with sprigs of fresh rosemary.
