Ingredients
1 (15 oz.) can black beans, drained, rinsed
2 cups chicken stock or broth, or water
1 bay leaf
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 bunch of cilantro, chopped
1 serrano pepper, minced
Salt and pepper to taste

Method
Put beans in a saucepan and add all the remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer uncovered for 30 minutes. Remove bay leaf, then transfer the bean mixture to a food processor, and process until creamy and spreadable.
